About Us

Americas Unite, together with Manos Amigues, has been providing food assistance and other social services to vulnerable populations since October 2019. We have seen first-hand how food assistance empowers individuals and strengthens communities toward a brighter future for all.

Our food pantry, soup kitchen and cultural center in the heart of Mexico City has touched the lives of thousands of people and our reach is growing every day. None of this work is possible without the support of our donors and volunteers. We thank you for your solidarity in our fight to end hunger and in our mission to build the infrastructure necessary to keep communities strong for years to come.

The key to happiness and a better world is a stomach full of food and a mind full of ideas. Thank you for making this idea a reality.

Americas Unite is a US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed in 2020 to facilitate programs that provide food assistance and other social services to vulnerable populations. The plurality of our name "Americas Unite" acknowledges that the United States of America isn’t the only America in the Western Hemisphere and that unity between nations is vital to the livelihood of all that dwell here. On this land we are all Americans.

Manos Amigues is a food assistance and social services program run by and for members of the LGBT+ community in Mexico City. Since its inception, Manos Amigues has had three principal initiatives: 1) an LGBT+ food pantry; 2) an LGBT+ soup kitchen; and 3) a queer cultural center. Although the programs are run primarily by and for members of the LGBT+ community, our doors are open to everyone regardless of sexual or gender identity.
