Creative Arts Momentum is a positive in-school and after-school program designed to educate and inspire children through the art of dance and live music. Based on building self-esteem and confidence, we encourage children to express and believe in themselves beyond what they thought capable.

The profound impacts of CAM help children’s physical and mental wellbeing that influence all aspects of their lives. CAM establishes focused expression and creates an experience for personal growth with joy.

The program culminates with a performance that leaves children with a sense of accomplishment, which builds perseverance that carries over into future endeavors.

CAM is an all-inclusive program that emphasizes teamwork and teaches problem solving with life lessons that benefit every student.

Modeled after the pedagogy of the programs Celebrate the Beat and National Dance Institute, CAM offers artistic movement classes accompanied by live music. Classes are energetic and stimulate the mind, body, and spirit.

In-School & After-School Programs

Creative Arts Momentum offers programs that range from one to fifteen weeks. We teach grades K-12 and all residencies have a culminating performance at the end. The positive impacts of teaching during academic time is that the students return to their classrooms focused and ready to continue learning. Students are engaged both mentally and physically during CAM classes.

Summer Programs

CAM offers various camps throughout the summer that range from five days to two weeks. Our days are filled with creative choreography, visual art projects, and music classes. Students explore a theme and have a performance at the end, along with an art gallery displaying their work.

Through kinesthetic learning, CAM has educational themes that focus on literacy, geography, world cultures, and science. Children explore movement and music that have a long lasting effect on how they retain information.

CAM reaches over 500 students every year in Nayarit, México. We have taught children in many areas over the years such as: Punta de Mita, Corral del Risco, Higuera Blanca, San Ignacio, Sayulita, La Cruz, el Guamúchil, Lo de Marcos, Villa Morelos, San Pancho, and San Quintin.

Celebrate the Beat first brought the love and joy of dance to the children of Riviera Nayarit, México in 2009. We are so proud that the program lives on today! What began as a 1-week residency in a single school in Punta Mita quickly grew to a thriving 6-month program serving 7 schools in 7 towns... ultimately reaching more than 6,000 children during our time together.
