Tripadvisor, the world's largest online travel website with 50 million visits, has chosen Puerto Vallarta as "Best Destination in Mexico 2012" as part of its annual Travel Choice Awards.
Puerto Vallarta boasts beautiful beaches, the iconic Malecon, an environment appropriate for families or romantic vacations, and a wide range of hotels, restaurants and shopping, which helped it to win the "Best Destination in Mexico" recognition.
Puerto Vallarta is noted for its various adventure activities like diving in complex marine ecosystems like Los Arcos National Marine Park where expert and beginner divers can enjoy marine reserves and explore underwater caves, canyons, reefs teeming with tropical fish and even sea turtles, octopus and sea horses.
