Former President Vicente Fox and his wife, Martha Sahagún, are spending their vacation in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit.

The former presidential couple was seen last weekend while doing their shopping in Puerto Vallarta's Costco supermarket.

Dressed casually, the former President walked the aisles of the supermarket while his wife handled the shopping list.

Fox greeted people who recognized him and even agreed to some photographs being taken. He was dressed in two color Bermuda shorts with a blue polo shirt containing the Centro Fox logo and a baseball cap. His wife wore a yellow blouse and shorts.

Observers were surprised that the former President was not surrounded by bodyguards, who had accompanied him everywhere for the six years he was in office. However, it was noted that the security staff was not very far as they were on the outskirts of the supermarket in their vehicles.

It is worth mentioning that the former Presidents of Mexico enjoy a pension and protection of the Estado Mayor Presidencial during the remainder of their lives.

Fox, who is apparently staying in a condo in a luxury development in Rivera Nayarit, will vacation in the region before returning to the famous Rancho San Cristobal in San Francisco de el Rincón, Guanajuato, where Vicente Fox directs the Fox Center of Studies and Research, with the support of his wife.

The Fox's have visited Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit on other occasions and it is said that they are owners of the condominium.

The Vicente Fox Center of Studies, Library and Museum is a presidential history center founded by the former President of Mexico (2000-2006) Vicente Fox near his ranch in Guanajuato, Mexico. The Center is funded by the Fox Center Civil Association.
