The owner of one of Vallarta's favorite restaurants, Teatro Limón, has been named the Ambassador and Executive Chef for one of Mexico's finest tequilas, Casa Orendain.

With this appointment, Bruce Byng and his team will be leading a variety of culinary events, tastings and contests around Banderas Bay throughout the coming months at a variety of restaurants and villas, starting with a special event on Friday, December 14, at his own Teatro Limón.

As an expert in food chemistry and creativity, Bruce is the perfect partner for the Casa Orendain brand. With 37 different varieties and liquors available, Bruce is looking forward to stretching his culinary creativity.

"I am thrilled with this partnership," exclaimed Bruce. "Casa Orendain produces such a variety of high-end tequilas and liquors I'm looking forward to working on a range of primarily food recipes but also some cocktail concoctions using their superior and award-winning products."

The first of what will sure to be many Orendain-sponsored events throughout Banderas Bay will feature a 4-course meal of favorite Christmas meals from around the world using and paired with a Casa Orendain product.

The menu includes New Zealand lamb with a mint and Gran Orendain blanco salsa, cranberry and fennel sausage stuffed pork loin wrapped in double-smoked bacon, with a brulé of Orendain Almendra Tequila, crispy duck breast with almond and orange crackling misted with Orendain Kalore licor de café, and succulent buffalo filet mignon with Orendain Extra Anejo and creamy Madagascar peppercorn sauce.

This family-owned Tequila manufacturing company began in 1926 under the leadership of the legendary Don Eduardo Orendain Gonzalez. Today, this company is led by the family's third generation who continue to uphold the high standards of their founder.
