In anticipation of the increased demand of tourists coming to Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit during the popular high season, US Airways announces they have added flights from the US which will total 24 per week.

Betty Fuentes, the Station Manager for Puerto Vallarta, confirmed the increase in the number of flights coming from Phoenix, Arizona.
 
She said that the increase responds to good expectations of the airline for the winter season and they are beginning to see a growing number of demand by American passengers.

With this increase in flights, the airline will operate a total of three flights a day, Monday to Friday, as well as four flights on Saturday and five flights on Sunday.

Last month, US Airways was only offering between seven and seventeen flights per week from Phoenix, which is one of the most important cities for connecting flights from the states and cities in the United States.

The increase to 24 weekly flights will continue through November.

On December 1, it is planned to add around four more flights that will remain until the winter season ends around the first of May, 2013.
