As a travel destination and our home, Puerto Vallarta's most valuable asset is the amazing natural beauty. To compete for tourism and preserve the environment and our own quality of life, we need care for our highways to be clean.

Be a part of this - The next highway clean-up will be Wednesday, November 14, 2012. The previous project in July was a wonderful success with a small group of volunteers impressively picking up 45 jumbo garbage bags of trash and cleaning up 6 km of highway.

The November 14 clean-up will be on the highway from town to Mismaloya. We will meet at the Pemex Gas Station just south of Basilio Badillo at 8:00 am. We invite all volunteers and property owners to step up and help. We are confidant City Hall will support this project.

For our Property Business Owners, we ask you and your staff to clean the area 500 meters on either side of your property and leave the trash in the designated garbage pick-up spot. We have a truck and will pick up and dispose of the trash at around 12:00 Noon.

History has proven that an area free of garbage and graffiti is most likely not to attract trash and graffiti. This increases tourism and builds a stronger economy.

We all benefit from a clean environment, from our personal health to our overall happiness.
