After a day spent outside in enjoying outdoor adventures or beaches in Puerto Vallarta, a movie night is a great way to chill out.

Vallarta has fantastic, modern movie theaters where you can still have a great date night for well under $20 and enjoy one of many first-run American films playing at local theaters.

There are 4 major movie theaters located in Puerto Vallarta: The Cinemex at the Galerias Shopping Center, adjacent to the cruise ship terminal is a great option for those staying in the Puerto Vallarta Marina district; Cinemark located in Plaza Caracol is very convenient for those staying in the Hotel Zone; and, easily accessed by Francisco Villa Avenue, one of the main streets in Puerto Vallarta, are the Cinemex Macroplaza  and Cinepolis located just steps from one another in large shopping plazas.

You'll find a full menu of snacks to enjoy at any of the movie theaters in Puerto Vallarta, everything including espresso, crepes, fresh deli sandwiches, nachos, chocolates, candies, and more.

Of course, no trip to the movies is complete without popcorn. Mexicans love popcorn but don't drench it in butter topping like in other parts of the world. Instead, the Mexican style is to put Valentina, a spicy red sauce, on top of popcorn to give it a flavorful kick. You'll find it at the concession at any Vallarta movie theater and it's a fun way to get a taste of Mexico.
