DIF Provides Hearing Aids For Needy Citizens Que Hay

Thanks to Integral Development of the Family (DIF) in Banderas Bay, 44 people have a better quality of life.

DIF responded to the most vulnerable people in the municipality, those with limited resources, by providing those needy individuals with much-needed hearing aids.

Our local DIF Director, la señora María del Refugio Gómez de Cervantes, in coordination with Starkey Hearing and the Lion's Club of Costa, made the delivery of 81 hearing aids and ear handbands. The delivery was carried out in the city of Mazatlan, Sinaloa, where the people benefiting were accompanied by a family member. Food and transportation were provided by the municipal DIF system.

In this regard, the President of the Agency reported that 44 people of scarce resources received radical life-changing benefits, thanks to receiving the gift of hearing. The majority of the recipients required dual hearing aids.

The recipients showed their happiness and enormous gratitude, since thanks to these noble actions it was possible to realize the dream of recovering the sense of hearing, thus providing them with a better quality of life, enabling them to regain the confidence of themselves and develop new skills.

With these and other actions, the municipal DIF continues to work hard for the benefit of the most vulnerable people of Banderas Bay to build together, between society and Government, a new story of love and progress.
