The new Los Muertos Pier will be completed later this year in the first half of December.

The Director of Planning for the Jalisco Ministry of Tourism (SETUJAL), Victor Mijangos Castellanos, reported that the work has been well advanced.

The new dock will be a tourist icon for the Romantic Zone which will improve the image of this important part of the city.

The pier will include a finished floor, railings and lighting, in addition to a sculpture that will go in the center of a gazebo, which will resemble the sail of a boat.

The project will have wood finishes, granite planters with native plants and colored lighting to make it look very attractive at night and will integrate Calle Francisco Rodriguez with a plaza.  The walkway will be about 65 meters and ending in a roundabout.

There will also be underground cabling equipment, new sidewalks, improved facades and commercial revitalization on Calle Olas Altas which will have improved cleanliness, lighting and surveillance.
