It's been a while since we sent out a notice about our recycling program.

As an independent annex to the Street Cleaning & Beautification, is the procurement, labeling/signage and distribution of garbage cans (tambos) throughout town, monitoring the location and maintenance of these bins and acting to maintain a sufficient number in town.

The good news is that the program continues to be a huge success almost entirely funded by you generous contributors who have purchased/sponsored 90% of the recycling bins.

Combined with the free pickup service arranged with the PEACE organization, very few funds from the Amigos operating fund have been needed.

We are now at a point where we have more or less caught up with missing containers and would like to continue to increase the number to try and keep up with the garbage cans we have also been placing throughout town.

We would like to produce 10 more bins, 2 of which have already been paid for, so we need 8 of you to come forward with 500 pesos each to get this production rolling.

Your bin can feature a message, a company or personal logo, or it can be anonymous with the Amigos de La Cruz logo.
