The Arts & Culture Board of Puerto Vallarta has just launched the reading project, "Leero, Leero, yo si Leo."
The goal of this promotional project is to encourage children and adults to read more and to promote reading books as a fun and accessible activity.
The program includes a used book market, a writing workshop and a fun reading group at the Cuale Cultural Center.
The project started at the intersection by Sam's Club where more than 1,500 books and promotional stickers were given to passing motorists. On September 17, there will be similar actions on Francisco Villa.
Every Tuesday and Thursday in September there will be home visits in different neighborhoods that will hand out books and invite residents to attend the used book market.
There will also be a mobile cart handing out books in the Plaza de Armas every Wednesday through September from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm for users to enjoy while visiting the Plaza.
