La Cruz to Host 52nd Riviera Nayarit Fishing Tournament Club de Pesca Tepic

After 51 years of the Riviera Nayarit Fishing Tournament being held in San Blas, the Fishing Club of Tepic has announced that the 52nd tournament will be held at the Riviera Nayarit Marina in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.

This will begin a new history for the tournament, to be held from October 10-14, 2012.

The Fishing Club of Tepic promises to continue doing honor to the title of the "Best Fishing Tournament on the Mexican Pacific."

The enrollment fee this year is 19,000 pesos per team.

There will be more than 2.5 million pesos in prizes, including 8 Toyota vehicles and fishing equipment.

Wednesday, October 10, is the official "Welcome Day" beginning at 5:00 pm until 11:30 pm, for registration and enrollment, a welcome cocktail, the Captain's Meeting and a special Bohemian Night with live music.

The official opening of the tournament will be announced at 8:30 pm, which will be presented by the Governor of the State of Nayarit and other civil authorities.

Thursday, October 11, will be the first day of fishing beginning at 6:00 am with the official starting shot followed by departure of the anglers.
