Puerto Vallarta To Host SATW Canadian Travel Meeting Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board

SATW’s membership, composed of journalists, photographers, editors and other travel industry professionals, will experience Puerto Vallarta's diverse tourism offers through a variety of tours that will include adventure, gastronomy, golf and spas.

Puerto Vallarta will host the Canadian Chapter of the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) to their annual out of country meeting from October 16-21, 2012.

The destination has designed specific tours that will allow SATW members a unique opportunity to visit not only the city's establishments but its surrounding areas, including the markets of El Tuito and the mining town of San Sebastian, along with the prestine beaches of Yelapa and Majahuitas. A post tour of Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque will also be offered courtesy of the State of Jalisco.

"It is our great privilege to welcome the members of the Canadian Chapter of the Society of American Travel Writers to one of Mexico's premier destinations – Puerto Vallarta," said Guillermo Ohem, Director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board.

The official airlines of the meeting is Aeromexico Airlines and members will be staying at the Westin Resort, Casa Velas or the Marriott Puerto Vallarta. Velas Vallarta will also be providing office stace for press rooms and meetings.

SATW has visited Puerto Vallarta three times in the past 10 years during other visits to Mexico, but this will be the first time that the destination hosts a chapter meeting.
