As all of you ex-pats that are living here in Banderas Bay know, the dreaded annual FM2 and FM3 Visa renewals always come around too soon. This year we found a great photo source, reasonable and professional.

The name of the photo studio is Foto Estudio Curiel (Curiel Photo Studio) and you would probably walk right by it if you didn't know it was there.

The owner, Maria Elena Curiel Morales, has been operating in the same location since 1962. She is delightful and speaks English too.

What a surprise from previous years and other photo studios when Curiel actually took two different front photos and two different profile photos. They think it's important to be able to use the best shot.

The set of 12 photos for FM2 and FM3 is 140 pesos and Passport photos (American or Canadian) are only 130 pesos. Mexican Passport photos are 70 pesos.

They also do photos and videos for weddings, fiestas and special events.

Curiel is open Monday thru Friday from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm and 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Saturday hours are 10:00 am - 2:00 pm and 5:00 - 7:00 pm.
