The Federal Environmental Protection Agency (PROFEPA) surprised a hotel in Puerto Vallarta which took over land on the beach without permission, and built a palapa.

In addition they detected a case where a private party built a cesspool which flowed into the El Pitillal river. Both were closed.

The actions were against the Hotel Blue Chairs, which was remodeling in the federal zone.

PROFEPA made known that they acted on a citizen's complaint and inspectors went to the Hotel Blue Chairs, located at Los Muertos beach.
