10) You can eat more dessert. Seriously, how many of us gain 5 to 7 pounds (or more) on vacation? If you do something active, like riding a bike, you can eat that extra brownie with impunity! Ha ha!

9)  You can stop and look at things that grab your attention. If you are on a large tour bus with 30 other people, what are the chances that you can stop to take a picture of that garden that you glimpsed at? When you are on your bike you can get up close to the things that catch your eye

8)  Tacos. Tacos. And more tacos! Before we moved here, we had no idea the scope and variety of tacos that are available on a daily basis in Puerto Vallarta. Street tacos are the bomb. You can ride up to the stand, prop your bike against a wall, and refuel right there

7)  The Sierra Madres Mountains in the Puerto Vallarta region have absolutely breathtaking scenery. They also provide serious cyclists with lung busting climbs! If you are a climber, you will not be disappointed.

6)  You can see and actually smell mangoes growing wild beside the road. And if you are so inclined, you can pick one, as long as you can reach it!

5)  If you have a fat bike, (and we do), you can ride on the beach. Make no mistake, riding in sand is a challenge, but there is nothing quite like puttering along the shore with waves lapping at the wheels of your bike. We guarantee that any picture of you and your bike on the beach will make your friends green with envy!

4)  You get to see cool wild life. Seeing lizards is an almost daily occurrence here in Puerto Vallarta.  The size and variety of species are mind boggling.

3)  You can explore the back roads of Puerto Vallarta on a fat bike, searching out amazing murals and graffiti with us!

2)  The ride to the funky surf town of Sayulita takes you through lush, dense jungle. Sayulita boasts some of the best coffee and people watching in the Banderas Bay area. While you are there, you should also check out the world class surf beach with metallic, golden sand.

1)  Beer is cheap! We are from Canada. There, it seems like nothing is cheap, especially alcohol. Here you can have a beer or two after your ride without breaking the bank. As well, you don’t need to worry about the calories, because you just rode your bike!
