Our neighbors a little to the south of Puerto Vallarta woke up this morning a little before 6:00 am to a 6.2 magnitude earthquake near San Patricio, Jalisco, Mexico.
The original tremors were followed by estimated 5.5 magnitude and 4.6 magnitude shakers.
Seismologists estimate that the quakes were approximately 10 km deep in the Pacific Ocean 91km SSW of San Patricio.
"I felt it" report:
La Manzanilla del Mar, Jalisco, Mexico / MMI IV (Light shaking): My husband and I both woke, just before 6AMCDT, to a light shaking of the bed, rattle of sliding glass door and vibration of floor lamp on floor. We were on the second floor of our newly constructed home, located on a hill overlooking the Bahia de Tenacatita in La Manzanilla del Mar, Jalisco. 16 km from San Patricio.
