Grab the kids and head to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle on Sunday, July 29, for the 4th Annual Junior Fishing Tournament.
500 young anglers are expected at Marina Riviera Nayarit and will start fishing at 8:00 am.
Competing for the many prizes including fishing equipment, bicycles and other surprises will be two different age groups of 4-8 years old and 9-12 years old. Only the 4 and 5 year olds will be allowed assistance by their parents.
The tournament is open to all children in the area and the entry is free. The competition will end at 12:00 noon and the winners will be determined.
"Entries are now open via our website, or can be made upon arrival 30 minutes before the tournament at Marina Riviera Nayarit, although the cost is just a smile and enthusiasm because we don't charge anything and even supply the hooks and bait, so have fun!" explains Francisco Navarrete Buhaya, Director of Sportsfishing of the Tepic Fishing Club.
This event was organized to promote sportfishing among children and to benefit the children of the area.
