April 19, 2016 is a historic day in Puerto Vallarta as the first gay weddings took place.

Puerto Vallarta's Mayor Arturo Davalos presides over the first same-sex marriages in the city!

"Today in Puerto Vallarta equal marriage is a reality for the first time in the history of our city, people of the same sex could unite their lives in total freedom. We will continue fighting for the rights of all Vallartenses, equality and working to make the dreams of all are met."

Best wishes to Arturo Dávalos Peña performed a double ceremony as Cristian Alberto Mejía Medina married Miguel Ángel Solórzano Macias and Mayra Nathali Mendoza Mata married María Isabel Maciel Partida.
