What is Pickleball?
The Basics:
1. A fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong.
2. Played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net.
3. Played with a paddle and a plastic ball.
Joan Gil has started Pickleball clinics, with the intent of starting a league here in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Riviera Nayarit. Bucerias and Rincon de Guayabitos already have leagues.
Vallarta Gardens Resident Johnny Davalos is the coach.
At recent clinics, 9, 10 and 12 players showed up at the Atun, Vallarta Gardens, and Punta Esmeralda courts respectively.
Tuesdays at 11:00 am - Vallarta Gardens residents only
Thursdays at 9:00 am - Punta Esmeralda residents only
Thursdays at 11:00 am - Open Play at the public court at Atun and Camaron in La Cruz.
Cost is 100 pesos for instruction and racquets.
