Vallarta Wraps Up 2015 with New Meeting Venues International Meetings Review

It's been a big year for Puerto Vallarta, with three new event venues, new hotels and strong occupancy numbers for December.

The conference center at the Grand Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive Adults Only Hotel, which opened in November, is the largest in the city. Its 10 meeting rooms can hold up to 1,300 people in auditorium seating, 800 in conference seating, and 800 in a banquet. The rooms are fully equipped with audio-visual systems, individual air conditioning, noise control, and sound systems for music and a special registration area for guests. The new 443 room hotel, which is located in Puerto Vallarta’s South Zone 20 minutes from the airport, also has oceanfront suites with private balconies, on-site gourmet restaurants and bars, plus the stylish Sky Bar lounge with DJs spinning music late into the night.

Hotel Mousai recently opened the Red Room, an adaptable space that can transform into a ballroom, concert hall, conference center, press room or wedding reception. The venue has a capacity for 140 people for banquets or 200 people in a conference hall layout. The Red Room can be divided into two intimate spaces or one grand salon, while the Orange Deck acts as a versatile pre-function area and foyer.

Finally, Costa Sur Resort & Spa recently inaugurated a Meeting Room with a capacity for up to 80 people in auditorium seating or 40 people in a school layout. The space is fully equipped and has amazing views of the bay of Banderas. Located in the south tower, ground floor of Costa Sur Resort & Spa, the meeting room also has a board room with a capacity for small meetings of 15 people.

Miguel Andrés Hernández, director of the Puerto Vallarta OCV, said that Puerto Vallarta hosted 102 events during the calendar year; including meetings, conventions and conferences.
