Sayulita Festival by local residents of Sayulita began in 2014 to bring an event of great cultural diversity to their piece of paradise, and they certainly have made noise in the area of movies, music and surf.

After a successful first year, the organizers decided that the non-profit event will be a long-term commitment to building and maintaining a cultural center for Sayulita. Their vision is to build a learning center and community equal to the best institutions throughout Mexico and the world.

Festival Sayulita is quickly becoming a top destination for filmmakers to showcase their work. Festival Sayulita 2015 screened over 60 films from all over the world, and our 2016 lineup is sure to be something not to miss. If you’re a cinephile, be sure to mark your calendar for Festival Sayulita on January 27-31, 2016. You won’t want to miss it!

Each year Festival Sayulita invites distillers and brewers to come to Sayulita, share their craft, and have a great time. 2016 will only be better! We’re inviting craft beer companies from across Mexico, wineries, distilleries to Sayulita. We pair these companies with local restaurants and chefs to create pairing dinners that are a culinary experience to remember.

Music is a huge part of life in Sayulita, and we have put together an incredible lineup for 2016. Jungle ¡Live! will feature Kinky, Le Butcherettes, Golden Ganga, La Hora de la Hora, Mexican Juligans, and Insoul. Our main concert event is Saturday January 30th and is hosted at Quintas Trujillo, an amazing venue shared with our pueblo by an amazing family.

Surfing is an integral part of Sayulita and could be considered the lifeblood of our pueblo. The beach and the local breaks are a draw to surfers from around the world, and recently played host to the Stand Up Paddle World Championships. Festival Sayulita is working hard to bring to town another amazing and fun surf event.
