The swearing in of Arturo Dávalos Peña as the new Mayor of Puerto Vallarta for 2015-2018 took place yesterday at Los Arcos on the Malecon and he will officially take office today.

The Secretary of Tourism of Jalisco, Enrique Ramos Flores, on behalf of the State Governor, Jorge Aristóteles Sandoval, endorsed the commitment that exists in Puerto Vallarta for continued growth and actions for the benefit of the people and the city.

"Our proposal is to build the best development opportunities for our communities with this assignment undoubtedly needing teamwork that will yield the best results and we depend on coordination and the cooperation as the hallmark of our interinstitutional relations," stated the official.

He said that Puerto Vallarta requires a commitment to continuous improvement and to work as a single group of municipal, state and federal authorities in joining forces to provide good service to citizens.

"On a personal endorsement today, my commitment is to continue working for Puerto Vallarta. We have a great opportunity to crystallize together actions in Puerto Vallarta that will be the seed of progress and development to continue this growth since 2013 has been constant and growing," said the Minister of Tourism.

He said that in this new beginning will be important to follow up and reinforce what has been done well and add new alternatives to improve. He stressed that it is time to get down to work and integrate the best team for our society.
