The System for Integral Family Development (DIF) of Puerto Vallarta, invites the public to participate in the program 'Adopt a Grandparent' through which they can live, learn and share experiences with elderly people who are currently granted asylum in the Comprehensive Care Center for the Elderly (CAIAM), thus contributing to their quality of life.
The director of the Municipal DIF, David de la Rosa Flores, explained that the goal is for older adults living in this center not feel forgotten and live emotional moments to share with other people.
To do this, you may visit the facilities of CAIAM located on 21 de Marzo in the Coapinole colony and speak with the director of the center, Omar Soto Talavera, or with one of the social workers or psychologists.
The requirement for anyone wishing to participate in this program is to be over 18 and present their official identification. They must fill out a form with personal information and a socioeconomic study to always ensure the safety and security of our seniors.
The CAIAM has a population of 30 residents, consisting of 25 men and 5 women. "We have a very high population, so we want our seniors to have the opportunity to enjoy a moment of company," he added.
