Proyectos Culturales to Present Controversial Art Show 'Carteles por Ayotzinapa'

The Oficina de Proyectos Culturales art gallery will present Carteles por Ayotzinapa, a unique contemporary art exhibition focusing on the 2014 mass kidnapping that took place in Iguala, Guerrero. On September 26, 2014, 43 male students from the Ayotzinapa Rural Teachers’ College went missing after a confrontation with local police. Details about what happened during and after the incident remain unclear to this date.

The exhibition serves as a tribute to the victims and includes posters, handmade kites, video and an interactive exhibition on one of the most controversial events of modern Mexico.

...Carteles por Ayotzinapa will undoubtedly become one of the most controversial art shows of the season. An opening reception will take place September 26, 7 - 9 pm. The exhibition will continue through November 14. Oficina de Proyectos Culturales is located at Juárez 598 in El Centro.
