Vallartazo 2015 Ruta 17 Extreme Off Road Adventure from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta Team Angels - Prensa Vallarta

More than 400 off-road riders are expected to participate in this major event which begins in Guadalajara on a route passing Tala, Ameca, Tequila, Union de Tule, Mascota, Talpa de Allende, San Sebastian del Oaste and ending up in Puerto Vallarta.

Riders will come from all over Mexico including Sinaloa, Nuevo Leon San Luis Potosi, Tamaulipas, Guanajuato, Queretaro, Veracruz, Coahuila, Puebla, Colina and Jalisco, as well as from the United States. There are 555 motorcyclists from 31 registered clubs.

Vallartazo 2015 is being promoted by the Jalisco Secretary of Tourism (SECTURJAL) and organized by the Motoclub TT of Guadalajara.

The TT Motoclub Guadalajara AC is a non-profit organization founded in 1999 by former Supercross and Enduro riders interested in Off Road rides and participating in various competitions and different forms of motorcycling.

Also involved is the Federal Preventive Police, Department of Mobility, Attorney General, Jalisco State Civil Protection Unit and municipal authorities.

According to local publications, the 17th edition (Ruta 17) of Vallartazo is scheduled for September 5-11, 2015. Rumor has it that the host hotel in PV will be Barcelo Puerto Vallarta.

The riders will travel almost 500 kilometers on the route and will offer exhibitions and shows in Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta.

Since the beginning of Vallartazo in 1999, the event has progressed from a motorcycle competition to a non-competitive event with a great variety of off-road vehicles including ATV, ULV, SSV and side-by-sides.

It is recommended that riders:

• Wear a helmet, goggles, suitable clothing, gloves and boots

• Carry a tool kit and also a spare tire (if possible)

• Use a GPS navagation device

• Do not drive through water without knowing the depth

• Respect speed limits and obey laws & rules

• Do not drink alcohol or use drugs

• Carry a cell phone in case of emergency

• If you plan to camp out, bring associated tents, sleeping bags and food items

• Bring extra pesos and/or ATM card for emergencies or extras

• For safety reasons, travel in groups
