Huffington Post Places Riviera Nayarit in the Top 5 Picks for US Travelers Jorge Jimenez - CVB of Riviera Nayarit

The US edition of the online newspaper and blog The Huffington Post published a list of the “5 Most Popular International Destinations Among American Travelers in 2015,” among them the Riviera Nayarit.

The list includes three European countries — Italy, France and Great Britain — and two from North America — Canada and Mexico. A special destination was chosen from each country; in Mexico’s case it was the Haramara Retreat in Sayulita.

“…this summer, many are jetting off to international locales. Here are the five most popular international destinations among American travelers this year. Are you visiting any of these countries? Maybe you should...” wrote author Jane Reynolds, who placed the Riviera Nayarit in first place.

“Americans are heading south to enjoy sandy beaches, warm weather and tasty margaritas. The country is also increasingly popular thanks to a recent spurt in wellness travel. If you're seeking Zen, visit the gorgeous Haramara Retreat in Riviera Nayarit,” details the journalist who places Mexico at the top of the list.

The Huffington Post is very influential in North America and has been a regular guest on the media FAM trips to the Destination hosted by the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Public Relations Department.

This online portal has 79 million unique monthly visitors from the United States, the Destination’s top market par excellence.
