"Rain Music" ("Lluvia de Musica"), is being promoted this summer by the Vallarta Institute of Culture and they are proud to present the versatile artist Havy Rodriguez every Monday of July at the Park Lazaro Cardenas and Wednesday at the Malecon II, all concerts begin at 7:00 pm.

With a repertoire of over 300 songs, including original versions in four languages: Spanish, English, Italian and Portuguese; Havy Rodriguez from Cuba covers genres such as merengue, salsa, cha cha cha, cumbia, flamenco, Cubano, samba, bossa nova, funk, reggae, jazz and bolero. His performances are characterized by the interaction with the audience getting the variety of nuances and reaching out with his voice.

Havy Rodriguez was born in Havana, Cuba and graduated classical guitar by the Popular Conservatory of Havana and in his 17-year-long career, he has formed numerous bands in Mexico, Europe and the United States. In 2001 he traveled for the first time to Aztec land to participate in festivals, performances and recordings in Guerrero, proving that music has no boarders.

In 2003 he formed the band "Long John Oliva Afro Cuban Jazz" in Los Angeles, California.

In 2005, he traveled to New York integrating the band Raul Seijas, "The Miami Latin Ensemble" with fusions of rock, pop and cumbia. Currently he is working on his third album "Spanglish" and is touring the Mexican Pacific.

"It is an excellent opportunity to appreciate the interpretative quality of Havy Rodriguez in Puerto Vallarta performing his expertise of guitar, rhythm and voice" stated Marcella Lepe, Director of the Vallarta Institute of Culture.
