Bule Bule - Joker Trio Band (joker trio)
Ready for some great rock and roll such as the Spanish version of "Wooly Bully" highlighting the whole generation of music, fashion and attitude?
The Joker Trio Band will be bringing the past to Puerto Vallarta with their first concert of this series on Sunday, July 12 at 6:30 pm in Hidalgo Park in addition to other performances around the city.
The rockabilly group was formed in early 2014 in Guadalajara by three young men with the goal of playing rock music in its purest form.
Members of the group are Jesus Nuncio, guitar and vocals; Saul Aguirre, bass; and Omar Ruiz on drums. Their repertoire includes songs by Carl Perkins, Stray Cats, Elvis Presley, and Chuck Berry to rock the hispanicized versions that were made popular in Mexico during the early sixties by Los Locos del Ritmo and Los Hooligans.
The group has an album "Rush Rockabilly" where you can feel their energy which includes greatest hits and original songs.
Rockabilly is a subgenre of rock and roll, it originated in the United States in the early fifties. The distinctive sound is the speed, the combination of a guitar, drums and bass which provides an important rhythmic function and lead vocals that often mimic effects of echo or reverberation.
"At Easter we played in Vallarta and the city embraced us, the people were very receptive because we represent a change from the music heard in bars. Our repertoire is a return to basics and to rock our voice and instruments. The public feeds our actions with their energy," said Jesus Nuncio, vocalist of Joker Trio Band.
The musician acknowledged the support provided by the Vallarta Institute of Culture reiterating the invitation to the public of all ages to take time to forget about problems and be carried away by the heat of the coast and dancing. So much is his love for Puerto Vallarta that moving here has not been ruled out.
Joker Trio Band will also be presenting concerts on Sunday, July 19 at 6:30 pm at the Malecon arches and Wednesday, July 29 at 8:00 pm in the auditorium of the Cuale Cultural Center.
