One of the most luxurious resorts in Riviera Nayarit, the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, has wrapped up a $20 million renovation, resulting in significant enhancements to nearly half of its portfolio of 267 suites, two of its five restaurants and its spa.
"In order to maximize the experience of luxury and comfort for all guests a total of 131 Master and Parlor suite, as well as two additional suites for the disabled, were modernized in terms of amenities, furnishings and décor," said Denys Montes De Oca, the resort’s director of sales.
The suites, which measure 1,000 square feet or more, include, among other things, private terraces with sitting areas; fully stocked minibars; white goose down comforters and pillows; bathrooms with tubs and step-in showers; Nespresso coffee makers; and deluxe bath amenities. Some of the suites also boast dining areas and Jacuzzis.
On the food and beverage front, Piaf, the resort’s French restaurant, boasts an entirely new look. “Piaf now features deep red seating and additional black and red wall décor – element that are consistent with its sister restaurant at Grand Velas Riviera Maya,” said Montes De Oca.
Azul, Grand Velas’ casual oceanfront restaurant serving breakfast lunch and dinner, now offers a salad bar and a live cooking station.
“We strive to consistently provide new scenarios in order for our guests to live a true experience of luxury and comfort,” she said, adding more enhancements are underway. “The main upcoming change is the complete renovation of our lobby bar,” she said.
