Derived from the efforts by the municipal government of Puerto Vallarta with Firefighters Crossing Borders organization, a major donation of vehicles and equipment for the Municipal Coordination of Civil Protection and Fire Puerto Vallarta was obtained.
In this regard, Sergio Ramirez Lopez, head of Civil Protection, said the Firefighters Without Borders made a donation of two ambulances from Washington and a fire truck from California, which will strengthen and streamline emergency care in the city.
They also received breathing apparatus and firefighting equipment by the Rotary Club of Marina Vallarta, plastic stretchers donated by Nogales firefighters and fire ladders from Phoenix, Arizona.
These grants are part of the program with the city government and Firefighters Crossing Borders who have worked steadily in the training of rescuers, as well as management for the donation of equipment and vehicles.
Ramirez Lopez stressed that these donated vehicles in good operating condition represent a real benefit to the city.
There is another vehicle donation which will allow each Fire substation to have the necessary rescue units and thus shorten emergency response time.
