Located on Banderas Bay in the state of Jalisco Mexico, Puerto Vallarta offers some really amazing aerial views and mild conditions, perfect for paragliding and paramotoring.

The climate is typical Tropical wet and dry with a marked dry season in the winter. The high temperature and variations in humidity can make July through September nearly intolerable. But, it creates some really nice thermal clouds perfect for paragliding.

Prevailing winds are from the southwest, and most weather systems approaching Puerto Vallarta are consequently weakened as they pass over Cabo Corriente. Thus even during the rainy season Puerto Vallarta's weather tends to be mild compared to other areas along the Mexican Pacific coast. Hurricanes seldom strike Puerto Vallarta.

The paragliding launching site is a man made one and it is over the "Concha Chinas" neighborhood. You can take a taxi as far up on Concha Chinas and than it is about 20 mins hike up the hill thru the jungle. Feel free to contact me to show you the way up to the ramp.
