May 31st is the most important day historically for Puerto Vallarta, as it celebrates two anniversaries: as a Municipality and as a City.

Leading up to the Sunday festivities, join the Puerto Vallarta community for the anniversary celebrations on Saturday, May 30. It all begins with the gastronomic showcase "Flavor of Vallarta" presented at the Main Plaza at 5:00 pm. Stick around for the 8:00 pm conference of “The Malecon, Image and Reminiscence” and the photo exhibit of the history of Puerto Vallarta at the City Hall on the Square. "Alas" concerts will take place at Los Arcos on the Malecon from 8:00 until 11:00 pm.

The Cuale Cultural Center will lead off the festivities on May 31 with a Ceviche Festival from 1:00 until 5:00 pm.

At 5:00, there will be another presentation of the gastronomic showcase "Flavor of Vallarta" at the Main Plaza.

You won't want to miss the Anniversary Parade which will begin at 7:30 pm at Parque Hidalgo traveling south to the Main Plaza where the grand fiesta will kick off with the singing of the Mañanitas to Puerto Vallarta at the gazebo, followed by fireworks and the cake cutting. “Nuevo Continental” Mariachi will present their new music production.

Los Arcos on the Malecon will come alive with guest artists at 9:00 pm.
