The Convention & Visitors Bureau Perseveres in Promotion of Riviera Nayarit Jorge Jimenez - CVB of Riviera Nayarit

The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has persevered in its unstinting efforts to position the Destination on a national and international level.

The Activities and Outcomes Report for the first trimester of 2015 presented to the Banderas Bay Hotel and Motel Association (AHMBB, by its acronym in Spanish), spells out all the actions undertaken by the different departments of the Riviera Nayarit CVB from January through March.

The Public Relations department obtained 384,740,148 impressions through its interactions with 105 domestic and international media via 13 FAM trips, 11 film productions, six photo shoots, one press trip and one conference.

The Groups and Events department hosted 22 events and one convention, with a total participation of 9,240 attendees.  

2,100 travel agents were engaged by the Promotions and Sales department via 36 promotional events realized during this past quarter, among them 13 seminars, 14 appearances at tourism trade shows, four online conferences and five FAM trips.

The Marketing department continues to follow up on negotiations to close on co-op campaigns. It has conducted 29 business meetings with commercial partners and is constant with its campaigns, contests and promotions. During this past quarter they obtained 12,112,480 impressions via social media and an increase of 55% in visits to the official website.

To date there have been six training workshops held for a total of 157 people who work directly within the tourism zone. The Administration department offers them in collaboration with the different committees within the AHMBB.

The Beach Cleanup Network continues on task with support from the department of Research and Environmental Programs. The department has also followed up on other regional environmental programs.

All of this information is open to public scrutiny thanks to the ample circulation obtained by the Communications Department, as well as the invaluable support of the regional media.
