The Vallarta Institute of Culture invites the public to learn the most complete musical instrument in a progressive and fun way at the Piano Workshop of the Cuale Cultural Center.

Locally well-known musician Tomas Mujica Eliséa has fifteen years of teaching piano and was trained in the Diocesan Seminary, was the former director of the Municipal Choir and currently is in charge of the choir of the Refugio Shelter.

The workshops will be held on Wednesday and Thursday for beginners and advanced students from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Saturday classes for beginner and advanced students will be 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.

Open to the public, with and without musical training, the workshop begins with an intensive music theory which seeks to strengthen the lyrical base of each student under the recognized method of Geronimo Baquiro Foster.

"You need to learn the language of music, because it will help us refine the technique and have no limits, it is recommended for children over eight years since those of a younger age are normally easily distracted, but each individual case will be assessed with the parents," Tomas Mujica Eliséa explained.

The Piano workshop is built on the traditional Beyer method, which allows a continuous feed under the guidance of the teacher and allows the students to progress at their own level.

Twice a year, the Piano Workshop Cuale Cultural Center offers Piano Recitals to the public performed with a short concert by the students to share what they have learned.

For more information and registration, telephone the Cuale Cultural Center at (322) 223-0095 or 113-0107.
