Riviera Nayarit Photo Shoot Graces the Cover of Sports Illustrated Jorge Jimenez - CVB of Riviera Nayarit

There’s no doubt doing things the right way nets the best results. That’s exactly what transpired with Samantha Hoopes’ photo shoot in the Riviera Nayarit for Ocean Magazine, which ended up gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated.

The expected thousands of impressions became millions of impressions when Sports Illustrated reproduced the photographs and info on the Riviera Nayarit that were originally published by Ocean Magazine on March 12th.

Ocean Magazine publishes 75 thousand issues a month, not to mention its online following. Sports Illustrated has more than 24.1 million unique monthly visits.

Samantha Hoopes’ own social media accounts keep growing as well, adding millions more positive impressions to benefit the destination.

This coup for the destination was the result of the collaboration between the Riviera Nayarit CVB and The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, which took place in November 2014. The photos included scenery from Sayulita, Islas Marietas and Punta Mita as background for the model.

This PR effort showcased the destination’s gastronomy and it’s unique blend of luxury and nature.
