Due to a little hiccup, Live Theater Sayulita (LTS) is delaying its schedule for this season — but — it is going to be a big one folks!
The first production will be three one-act plays by Shel Silverstein, staged at La Luz Fantastica mid-March. The exact date will be announced soon, but the first hurdle is to audition for actors. We would like to have four men and four women, however, if we are short of males, we can substitute two women. In the interest of equality it would be great if we could fill the roles for four males, so guys, come on down!
LTS will follow up in mid-April with a production of Driving Miss Daisy, with Donna Evans-Deyermond playing Miss Daisy, Peter Glass as Hoke, and Doug Downs as Boolie.
“If nothing else, it will be worth the price of a ticket to see me trying to look like a ‘little' old lady,” Evans-Deyermond said.
LTS needs more than just actors. If you can help with set design, costumes, chasing down furnishings or being a stage hand on the night of the productions, contact company manager, Cal Deyermond at cfd55@hotmail.com.
Auditions will be held Monday, January 19 at Tropical House at 1:00 pm. You don’t need to prepare a piece, we will provide scripts for the plays. This season, Pat Garfus joins the directing team of Donna Evans-Deyermond and Peter Glass.
