The National Olympics are coming to Riviera Nayarit on May 12, 2012, with competitions of Sailing and Triathlon.

More than 500 competitors will visit the Treasury of the Mexican Pacific in search of a medal.
In Riviera Nayarit, luxury is our adventure, the same that drives the passion of the 538 Mexican athletes who will compete in the disciplines of sailing and triathlon and vie for medals as part of the National Olympics.
The National Olympics with be held between May 12 and May 20, beginning with sailing skills which will culminate on May 16.
The headquarters will be the Marina Riviera Nayarit at La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, featuring 210 sailors between 10 and 22 years of age competing for medals by age class in the Laser, Optimist and Tabla Vela competitions.
In addition, 328 triathletes between 14 and 23 years old will compete in the Vallarta area between May 16 and May 20, completing a circuit of swimming against the Fibba Beach Club, while race and cycling tests will be carried out on the streets of the city.
The National Olympics exhibits some of the most important athletic skills in Mexico, bringing together the children and youth categories in competing for Federal entities.
Riviera Nayarit was selected as the location for National Olympics 2012 based on the excellent characteristics for the practice of these sports as well as tourist infrastructure, which guarantees suitable standards for all competitors.
The Visitors and Conventions Office (OVC) of Riviera Nayarit supports the realization that events of this type directly contributes to supporting local hotels and lodging businesses along with attracting the attention of the media in providing direct promotions for Riviera Nayarit.
