Escape Route Vallarta Returns for the Season with Rural Organic Farm Walk Team Angels - PVAngels

If you enjoy local history and getting off the beaten tourist track, you'll love the Rural Organic Farm Walk.

Sandra Cesca of Escape Route Vallarta will return with this every Thursday adventure beginning on January 8.

We take the local bus to rural pre-Hispanic El Tuito one hour south of Vallarta.

Learn local history as we walk through town.

See typical adobe architecture, clay studio producing pre-Hispanic figures, sample tortillas and locally-made soft panela cheese.

Stop at the farmhouse to sample raicilla while observing propagation and seed-saving techniques.

Then a short walk through the countryside to the working farm where you learn about tilling, composting, mulching, planting, irrigation, crop rotation and harvesting.

We'll walk back into town to visit a backyard bakery using a wood-fired oven and then an optional stop for lunch.

Children must be able to walk on their own and adults must be able to walk unassisted for two hours.

Join us on Thursday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Donation tickets are $40 US for adults and $20 US for children under 12. Bus to El Tuito is included in your ticket fee.
