Here's your chance to meet Constance L. Vincent PhD the author of "Not Going Gently: A Psychologist Fights Back against Alzheimer's for Her Mother. . .and Perhaps Herself" while supporting our children of Puerto Vallarta.

The beautiful Villa Balboa in Puerto Vallarta South invites you for the wine and appetizer reception on Saturday, January 10 at 5:30 pm.

Constance has a special place in her heart for Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza (RISE), a shelter for abused and abandoned children in Puerto Vallarta where she has volunteered her time for many years in support of these special children.

Constance L. Vincent earned her PhD at UC Irvine and taught classes in developmental psychology, especially psychology of aging, at two different universities. In addition to her book Not Going Gently about Alzheimer's disease, she has edited the long-awaited Dr. Tom Wu's Different Approach in Natural Healing: Conquer Cancer and Other Diseases with Simple Foods.

A dynamic fusion of story and science, Not Going Gently offers a fresh look at Alzheimer's and dementia from both personal and professional vantage points - and provides a plan for prevention. In this poignant mother-daughter memoir, Constance shares her mother's experience and feelings living with Alzheimer's as well as her own perspective both as a psychologist and a potential victim of the disease. For more information about Not Going Gently or to order in Kindle or Paperback, visit Amazon.

Donation tickets are 250 pesos and are available by emailing Chris Amo, Foundation President of Children's Shelter of Hope, at chris@cshf-us.org.

Villa Balboa is located at Carretera Barra de Navidad 3.8, #1730, Playa Venados, just south of Old Town Puerto Vallarta overlooking the Bay of Banderas.
