Time 2 Play will present ‘Always in Season’ at the Boutique Dinner Theatre @ Nacho Daddy, December 22 and 23, 2014.
One enthusiastic fan was heard to say “I haven’t smiled this much in years”; another commented they had not enjoyed such a versatile, talented and uplifting act all season.
The lobby of the Boutique Theater and PCC last year regularly rippled with enthusiastic laughter and praise for Vallarta’s own Time 2 Play who appeared in Christmas, Valentine’s and St Patrick’s shows in old town Vallarta. The group ended their spring season as feature performers at the Chacala Music Festival, where they are again scheduled to perform in March 2015.
Over the past four years, Time 2 Play’s six person ensemble has delivered tight 4 part vocals and their own instrumentation on piano, guitar, violin, bass and drums. Their performances knit seamlessly together with the easy banter and spontaneous humor that only long time friendships, mutual respect and a shared love of performing music can ensure.
Their very eclectic repertoire spans blues, jazz, country, folk, and classical, all delivered with virtuosity and heart. “We want to reflect the diverse musical experiences of all our members as well as delivering crowd pleasing entertainment,” explains Garry Carson, guitar player and singer in the group.
In this year’s “Always in Season” at Boutique Dinner Theatre, Time 2 Play’s signature favorites will be supplemented with Bonnie Rait’s ‘Merry Christmas Baby’, The Eagles ‘Bells Will be Ringin’, Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ and the haunting Christmas classic ‘I Wonder as I Wander’ by Joy Lehman.
Romp along to the fast pace and fun of naughty novelty numbers by Don MacLachlan; romantic duets by Joy Lehman and Garry Carson; and the instrumental virtuosity of Mary MacLachlan on violin and Lois Rogers on piano. Enrique Jimenez, guest drummer, will add rhythm and smiles throughout.
