Riviera Nayarit Day of the Dead Offerings and Altars Contest CVB of Riviera Nayarit

Registration is open from now through the 27th of October for participation in the Day of the Dead Offerings and Altars Contest at the Riviera Nayarit’s Marina Nuevo Vallarta.

The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and Tropical Incentives will sponsor the event. In order to register all you need to do is contact the Riviera Nayarit CVB’s Groups and Events Department at (322) 297-2516 Ext. 120 and/or via email at grupos@rivieranayarit.com.

Registration is free and space is subject to availability. Each team is responsible for researching the elements needed for an altar and for obtaining all the materials necessary for the installation, which will take place on Thursday, October 31st from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

On Sunday, November 2nd, the official Day of the Dead, a jury that specializes in this topic will analyze the different altars starting at 6:00 pm. They will select three winners at 8:00 pm; these will go on to receive very attractive prizes in kind.

The different aspects to be evaluated include: Topic, Quality and Content; Adherence to Tradition; Creativity and Final Result. The teams will need to remove the altars on November 3rd in the morning.
