El Tianguis Lo De Marcos is set to be a courtyard style shopping center with many unique vendors!
Imagine being able to buy such items as Home Made Cookies, Custom Made Pinatas, Hand Blown Glass, Garden Fresh Produce and more, all in Lo De Marcos, Riviera Nayarit commencing in November 2014.
The tradition of buying and selling in temporary markets set up either on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, etc.) is a strong feature in much of Mexican culture and has a history that extends far back into the pre-Hispanic period. It was the most important form of commerce in the pre-Hispanic era, and after the Spanish Conquest, the Europeans mostly kept this tradition intact.

"Lo De Marcos is a lovely small coastal town that has a need for a Tianguis," stated Claudia Curtis, the Market´s Coordinator.
The Tianguis is the brainchild of Armando Contreras of Galvan Real Estate and Services, the town's Full Service Real Estate and Rental Agency. "I Live in Lo De Marcos and can attest first hand to our communities need to support our residents, farmers and craftspeople thru this venue while at the same time bringing in those items that are not readily available within the community."
Held each Saturday from 9:30 am until 2:30 pm this weekly event expects to draw visitors from around the Banderas Bay.
