Riviera Nayarit Hosts 54th International Sportfishing Tournament of San Blas Team Angels - Sport Fishing Club of Tepic

This year the International Sportfishing Tournament of San Blas, Riviera Nayarit is going to be from May 28th to June 1st, 2014 at the Tourist Marina located in San Blas, Nayarit, Mexico.

As each year with the support of the State Government of Nayarit, the 54th edition of the Sport Fishing Tournament will be a high quality event that will continue to deserve the title of "The Best Fishing Tournament in the Mexican Pacific."

With a stock of more than 4 million pesos in prizes, the main category is the Sailfish competition with Marlin and Dorado as secondary categories.

In a joint effort to provide an international event, the Club de Pesca Deportiva Tepic, the State Government of Nayarit, Riviera Nayarit OVC and various sponsors have managed to collect more than 60 boats each year in an atmosphere of healthy competition and camaraderie party.

The International Sportfishing Tournament of San Blas this year is keeping the same 19,000 peso registration fee as last year, but increasing prizes.

Payment of registration includes the daily "Jackpot" for Sailfish category, Inauguration Ceremony, the official lunch on Friday, Closing Ceremony and 1 ticket for the traditional RAFFLE of a car.

Tournament by Vessel:

Each vessel should have 4 fisherman as maximum onboard and the winner will be the one that catches the heaviest fish of each category within the three days of competition.

Catches by Day:

• Three Sailfish maximum by vessel (with a minimum weight of 25 kg each)
• Three Mahi Mahi maximum by vessel (with a minimum weight of 10 kg each)
• One Marlin maximum by vessel (with a minimum weight of 85 kg each)
