The Vallarta Botanical Gardens is hosting its fourth annual Flower and Garden Show from March 25 to March 30.
The week will be filled with garden and floral related demonstrations, activities, a photo contest, and stands featuring vendors from all over the Vallarta area.
As part of the Grand Finale on Friday, March 30, we will be entertained with the Mariachi band and Tuito dancers.
There will also be daily tours of the gardens and, of course, a huge plant sale!
So far, we are planning for a photography workshop and a day dedicated to the many uses of the Capomo or Maya Nut Tree, which was an important food source for the ancient Mexican cultures. Capomo will be prepared for tasting and sharing. There is a nominal fee to partake in the Capomo Festival, scheduled for Monday, March 26.
Vallarta Botanical Gardens is located 30 minutes south of Old Town, Puerto Vallarta, on Carretera a Barra Navidad at km 24, just past Las Juntas y Los Veranos. The Gardens is open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. For more information, email Alejandra at alezao@vbgardens.org or telephone (322) 223-6182.
