Vallarta Pride is an annual 5 day event which pays tribute to the LGBT community with art and cultural events, concerts, documentaries, beach parties and a lot of fun while showing the world the amazing diversity of our destination.

Business associations, companies and the entire LGBT community have joined together again to organize this event for the second year and the Steering Committee is ready to welcome the world from May 22nd to 26th, 2014.

Once a group to avoid, gays are the "latest" in the international crowd of the hype and chic persons who flock to gay pride events. Many Pride events total in the millions of participants. Pride is for those people who love the joy of being free to be oneself.

Currently, the Organizing Committee is made up of 9 talented members who are using their skills to create a world-class event which also promotes our city as a major tourism destination. This mix of Mexicans, foreigners, men and women has resulted in an amalgam of talents committed to the success of the Vallarta Pride 2014.

Alberto Carlos Campos is originally from Mexico City but has lived in Puerto Vallarta for 13 years. His focus has been working in the tourism industry and contends that although our city is positioned as the number one LGBT destination in the world, further work is needed to maintain that position with events like Vallarta Pride.

Raúl Cruces is also originally from Mexico City and Puerto Vallarta has been his home for the past 5 years. He is currently advisor to the Specialized Commercial Business Unit at Grupo ACIR, and strongly believes that Vallarta Pride is a unique platform that has the potential to show the best of our city to the world.

Alfonso Davalos was born and raised in Monterrey, where he studied tourism and subsequently came to Puerto Vallarta to begin his career, starting out as a customer service director. Over the years, he discovered his passion and talent for real estate and is currently focused finding the perfect home in Puerto Vallarta for his clients when he is not working with Vallarta Pride.

Bill Hevener has lived in Puerto Vallarta for 9 years and is married to Raúl Durán. The couple founded the clothing brand BuenFlex and RK Supplement. Bill is a founding member of ACT LGBT A.C. and Vallarta Pride.

Nancy Page has nearly 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and in building and managing teams. She currently volunteers at Gay Guide Vallarta and is active in the production of the documentary "We Are Proud" which will be released during the Vallarta Pride 2014.

Carmen Porras was born in Mexico City and after graduating high school she emigrated to study at Les Roches Hotel Management School in Bluche, Switzerland where she learned cooking techniques, management skills and became fluent in French, German and English. In November 2003 she opened the restaurant El Arrayán.

Armando Sanchez graduated from the Centro Universitario de la Costa and majored in Marketing. Although originally from Mazatlan, Sinaloa, he has lived in Puerto Vallarta for 14 years. He is currently co-owner of Palmera Vacations.
