A Press Conference was held on March 12 at Hotel Sheraton Buganvilias Resort with the Tourism, Conventions and Visitors Bureau, Association of Hotels, H. Ayuntamiento, SETUJAL, Coparmex, Canirac, API, Canaco, Adeprotur, Adavptur, Association of the Romantic Zone - formed by the associations Viejo Vallarta, hotels traditional and economic, Island of the Cuale River, AMMJE neighbouring Amapas, Emiliano Zapata, and the Farmers Market.

The organizations invite the media and all citizens to participate on Saturday, March 17, 2012, from 8:00 am, with your broom, brush, and cleaning equipment and be a part of the project of "Clean Puerto Vallarta" to be accomplished prior to the Tianguis Mexico 2012, which will take place beginning on March 25.

On this day, all Vallartenses will work together in cleaning the tourist strip of Puerto Vallarta, which is the face of our city. All of us who live in Puerto Vallarta have the commitment and obligation for public care and keeping our city in optimal condition.

This effort is in addition to the work which the municipality, through the Town Council, currently performs with programs entitled "Clean Vallarta" and "Clean Beaches" which seeks to rehabilitate public spaces, as well as the certifications for cleanliness.

Actions that will be carried out in the different areas of Puerto Vallarta will be cleaning, washing of sidewalks and streets, garbage collection, paint walls with problems of graffiti, and gardening.

All of these will be under the coordination of each of the agencies mentioned above in the following areas:

• North Hotel Zone - AHMPVR
• Maritime Terminal and surroundings - API
• Surroundings of CIC - Convention Center
• Pitillal River mouth at Holiday Inn - SETUJAL
• Los Camarones Bridge - FIDETUR/CVB
• Teatro Vallarta area - ADAVPTUR
• Theatre Vallarta on the Malecón, including Parque Hidalgo - KANAK
• Start of the Malecón - ADEPROTUR
• Front of the lighthouse - COPARMEX
• Lighthouse, Plaza de Armas, Los Arcos del Malecón - H.AYTO MUNICIPAL tourism
• Restaurant Exteriors in Puerto Vallarta - CANIRAC
• Municipal Market on the new Malecon - Municipal Markets
• Centro Cultural Cuale - H.AYTO Department of Culture
• Island of the Cuale up Amapas Beach - Association Zona Romantica
