2013 Music Festival - Geo Uhrich

The 14th annual San Pancho Music Festival will be held Friday, February 28th through Sunday, March 2nd, 2014 in San Francisco, Nayarit, Mexico. As in past years, the event traditionally takes place on the last weekend of February, and, as always, because of the gracious contributions of the performing artists, there is still no charge to the public.

The 2014 San Pancho Music Festival will feature performing artists from the region, as well as musicians from the United States, Canada, and Latin America. The Festival has evolved markedly from its original beginnings in the backyard of a local resident in 2001.

This year the Festival is pleased to welcome back a number of artists that proved to be crowd favorites from prior years. Several new  and exciting performers are appearing for the first time in the Festival’s 14 year history, and altogether they promise an exciting lineup for this year’s event. To learn about the origins of the Music Festival and how it has grown over the years, visit Festival History.

The fun and music begins at 5:00 pm each day, with performances up until 11:00 pm each night (although it isn’t uncommon for artists to continue playing to an enthusiastic late night crowd).

2013 Music Festival - Doug Robinson

The detailed schedule of performing artists and show times is available at 2014 Schedule. Please be aware that times are subject to change based on artist availability.

The Music Festival will be held in Plaza del Sol – across from the church. In early 2012 Plaza del Sol was remodeled and it’s facilities updated.  A new stage was completed to enhance the Plaza as an entertainment venue. Public restrooms were modernized, the portico was remodeled, and new landscape installed. The Plaza was thus better suited for the larger crowds drawn to the 2013 Music Festival.

The year 2013 also marked an important milestone in the history of the Festival when a second stage was added to the event. This resulted in a smoother transition between acts, and allowed a larger number of artists to perform through the 3-day event. Overall the audience was rewarded with an enhanced listening experience. Public feedback regarding the Festival’s success and organization, particularly the second stage, has been very enthusiastic.

Directions to the venue and a street map of San Pancho can be accessed at Directions to the Plaza.
