Luis Gómez, Executive and Board Chairman of Air Transport Regional (TAR), confirmed the start of flight operations at affordable prices to connect Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta and announced that tickets are now available.
Beginning on March 3, 2014, TAR will fly six days a week from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta. Tuesday will be the only day with no flights. Flight time is scheduled for 4:40 pm each day with the exception of Thursday and Friday which will be 10:50 am.
The flight from Puerto Vallarta to Guadalajara on Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday is scheduled to take off at 2:05 pm.
Prices for these one-way flights during the first month of operations of the airline will be 861 pesos, including taxes. After this period, the price is estimated to be 1,500 pesos with taxes included.
TAR is focusing on tourist and business travelers in providing efficient service at a fair price.
Initially, TAR will start operations with a fleet of three Embraer RJ145 aircraft, which hold 50 passengers, with an investment of 260 million pesos.
By late 2017, the airline fleet is expected to be expanded to 14 aircraft of the same model.
This investment is planned to generate 320 direct jobs throughout the first year of operations and has the goal of transporting 300,000 passengers from all destinations.
